About the Event

Due to the Corona pandemic, the state of emergency in Japan has prevented me to join Tuesday's presentation in Munich on time.

Instead of my physical presence I am sending you my message from Nagasaki  - my Corona Rose Blossom in a video form - Message from Nagasaki

Kindly invited to check the video, or, if being in Munich - to reflect on the Corona Rose No. 2 in Three Movements at the Holy Spirit Church in Munich.

Likewise, the first Collective Corona Rose, currently displayed at the St. Stephan's Cathedral in Vienna, Austria, also this hybrid, its mutation in Three Movements, contains in its base the roses that were handmade by the experimental Idrija lace makers' group led by Maja Svetlik from the Idrija School of Lace. The roses were created during the second corona virus wave in an effort to express through the handwork, all the anxieties of this difficult time as well as the hope to overcome them soon. I had the privilege to combine them with the recycled hand-made laces that I collected from around the world, into a new story of solidarity and hope.

Wishing you to add your thoughts and wishes for our collective overcoming of the Corona Virus pandemic. Thank you to Mrs. Seipel of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Munich for accepting my "Corona Rose No. 2 in Three Movements" and allowing it to bloom with hope, to Mrs. Saša Šavel Burkart of the Slovene Culture and Information Center in Berlin for heading this project, and last but not least to the General Consul of the Republic of Slovenia,  Mrs. Dragica Urtelj, without whom this project would never be! Thank you Mrs. Urtelj for all your dedication and love for culture that you have and so actively engage!
