About the Event
For the Long Night of Museums 2024 Bled Culture Institute cordially invites you to the performance of multimedia artist Eva Petrič at the upper terrace of Bled Castle, June 15 2024 at 21.30. Within the setting of her installation TRANShomoPLANTATION of found and recycled lace from various parts of the world, Eva Petrič will take us on a journey in search of a new planet onto which we could transplant the human heart if circumstances on Earth no longer enable us to stay here.
Like every year, we will join the campaign of Slovenian museums, galleries and other cultural institutions offering free admission to Bled Castle on Saturday, 15 June 2024 from 18:00 to 24:00. A guided tour of Bled Castle will take place at 7 p.m. (registration is closed).
At 21:30, the Summer Museum Night will be enriched with a performance Eden REtransplanted by Eva Petrič.
Eva Petrič is a versatile artist who lives and works between Slovenia, Vienna and New York. Her work is transmedia, involving photography, video and art installations as well as performances, sound and literary work. Her art has been featured in over 100 solo and 140 group exhibitions worldwide. Petrič's motivation to expose the multidimensional architecture of space defined by atmosphere has led her to use a transmedia approach. The result is more than 30 large-scale installations of found and recycled lace, which have been exhibited in various, mostly public spaces around the world, including at Bled Castle last December as Eva Petrič's Artistic Nodes.
With the performance Eden REtransplanted that is part of an installation titled TRANShomoPLANTATION, consisting of found and recycled lace from different parts of the world, the artist will take us on a journey to find a new planet where we could transplant a human heart, if the situation on Earth no longer allows us to stay here.
