Month of June in the whirlpool of art - from "food for thought" to Auto Portrait, from weaving Justice to Post-corona Sun, from Kranj to Nürnberg, from New York City to Vienna and Ljubljana...
The month of June, on the long-awaited path to normalcy, whirls in hopes, plans - and art:
I am pleased to inform - and invite you, depending on where you are - to a number of art events these days, featuring among others also my artwork.
Auto portrait at Kranj is the first major exhibition on the theme of auto portraits in Slovenia since 1958. Curator Petra Vencelj chose among other auto portraits also my Birdy from Web Chain series.
In New York City, Weaving Justice, curated by Thaila Vrachopoulos, is still on view virtually at the A&A Shiva Gallery, John Jay College of Criminal Justice - till July 31.
At Millststaat, the group exhibition konZENTRATION, curated by Tanja Prušnik, occupies the premises of the 1000-year old Benedictine Monastery, now turned into a MillsART centre for contemporary art, through the whole summer.
At the St. Stephan Cathedral in Vienna, my Collective Corona Rose still spreads hope from the wall of the chapel of the emperor Friedrich III.
My site-specific art installation Post-corona Sun, Penduluming, at the former Teutonic Knights church, now part of the Križanke complex, is still penduluming through my voice of One Touch among the four corners of this special place - as the first event of this year's 69th Ljubljana Festival. Till June 29.
